A Night Out on the Town

On Tuesday evening, I had the great pleasure of attending the Vanity Fair party to celebrate the opening of the ninth Tribeca Film Festival held at The State Supreme Courthouse in lower Manhattan.  It was a star-studded event and I had a really great time. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in a response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the consequent loss of vitality in the TriBeCa neighborhood in Manhattan.  This festival celebrates New York City as a major filmmaking center and contributes to the recovery of lower Manhattan. The 2010 festival, which runs through May 2nd,  is set to include film screenings, concerts, special events, panel discussions, celebrity-studded parties, and a family street fair.  Please enjoy my photos from the celebration, which I took with my trusty Canon G11.
