I Hosted A Cooking Demo For Macy's American Icon Campaign

To help kick-off Macy's American Icon campaign, I hosted a cooking demo for the perfect picnic and a book signing at the iconic Macy's at Herald Square in New York City on Friday, May 17th.  Macy's American Icon campaign is a nationwide celebration of America; a salute to the people, places, and things we all love - from hot dogs and Hollywood to denim jeans and legendary designers and brands - all that inspire our dreams, fuel our passions, and make us proud to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

My cooking demo included recipes from Martha's American Food, a book that focuses on farm-to-table/regionally inspired recipes.  Sarah Carey - VP, Editor in Chief, Every Day Food - joined me in hosting the event.  By the way, Sarah has a great daily recipe video that serves up easy weeknight meal ideas. You can sign up for her videos to come straight to your email by clicking here. We demonstrated how to make Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Classic Potato Salad, Creamy Coleslaw, Sour Cherry Lemonade, and Strawberry Shortcake.  Two hundred guests joined us to help kick off this great Macy's initiative.  After the demonstration, I signed American Food books for guests who purchased $50 worth of Martha Stewart Collection product at Macy's.  You can check out all of my products at Macy's.
