2015 US Open Championships

The 2015 US Open tennis championships are underway - have you been watching?

I have always loved this hardcourt grand slam tennis tournament and always try to attend if my schedule allows. It is held annually starting on the last Monday of August and lasting for two weeks into September. It includes five main event championships: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Owned and organized by the United States Tennis Association, the proceeds from the US Open ticket sales go towards promoting the development of tennis and education for young people in the United States, and to help rehabilitate wounded, ill and injured service men and women.

Last week, I attended opening night at the US Open as well as the USTA Foundation’s opening night gala, its major fundraising event. It was a great evening for tennis… enjoy my photos.
